The "mechanical" hackamore, is a modern "high-tech" hybrid of the original California hackamores. They are very useful when a pony's mouth is sore, or if the demands of your sport require you to pull harder than is appropriate with a mouthpiece bit. The thick, braided leather nose will command attention. Features: 8" pony chromed steel shanks with braided leather covered chain noseband. Braided area is 9" long, and 19" from where your chin strap attaches to the other side where it attaches. you will need to purchase an additional chin strap - it is not included with the hackamore.

This is made with a bicycle chain with a heavy Rubber Tube over the top. It is very flexible. Great hack for smaller ponies and Mini's. Measurement from hole to hole where the bridle attached is around 11". Shanks are 6" long. This Hackamore weighs 1 1/2 pounds. Does not come with Curb Chain.
